Ellen Healy receives Community Leader Award from KASCANJ

At a recent award ceremony, Ellen Healy received the Community Leader Award from the Korean American Senior Citizens Association of New Jersey (KASCANJ).

Chair of the Mayor’s Advisory Committee for Age-Friendly Leonia, Healy has been attentive to the interests of all Leonians and has reached out to the Korean community through meetings, networking and Korean translations of key AFL documents, including the community needs assessment survey conducted last autumn.

In bestowing the award, KASCANJ said “she has served as a bridge for the nearly 30 percent of Korean residents in Leonia” and “has also worked tirelessly to keep the Korean community informed about local issues.” The award was presented “in recognition of her leadership in facilitating the KASCANJ’s active participation in Leonia’s health and welfare policies.”

Congratulations, Ellen Healy!
